I drank this at Pots, Pints and Tikis in Phuket in January 2026. This was my first beer on the island after a long, hot walk around Patong Beach's streets. I was with a large group, so my notes are very brief.
L: Poured from the tap, it's orange-amber with a persistent, fluffy white head. There is lots of lacing on the glass as the beer is drained. It's always good to drink at a bar whose glassware is looked after this well.
S: The nose is quite neutral, with some light, tangy malt.
T: Citrus, malty, and mildly bitter.
M: Very full and smooth. Low carbonation and kick.
O: Nice, but I reckon I'd have happily drunk anything after that walk!
Cheers!

Taste: Lychee, candied grapefruit, orange rind, caramel malt, with light bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: Refreshing, easy drinking with nice lychee aroma and flavours.

Hazy dark orange color with short lived beige head. Aroma is quite strong with caramel, tangerine peel, fermented honey and brown sugar. Taste is sweetish and citrusy with caramel malts being mostly prominent, light grapefruit rind bitterness on the finish. Some butterscotch (diacetyl maybe) on the finish. Light body with high carbonation. Not bad, a bit unbalanced and slightly flawed but the flavors are mostly nice.

From a 330ml bottle at a beach bar on Ko Lanta.
In truth, this is a pretty average APA. It looks a little sludgy and the head is short-lived. The bright & bold smell of mandarin is great initially but also lacks staying power. Woody, citrus flavours complement soft citrus but bitterness is very subdued. Mouthfeel is a little thin with minimal finish. However...this beer stands out as a beacon in a market dominated by Chang and Heineken. This is a 3.5 beer that would rate 5.0 if rated only against beers in the domestic Thailand market.

Speckled with dark amber. 3.75
Musty tangerine peel. 3.5
Slight toffee, hit of orange and fading end. 3.5
Light, round, slight oil. 3.75
Insubstantial by design. And stored poorly - there’s some stale/faded hops. Other than that, fine! 3.5

After being in Thailand and drinking bland Macro lager for a few weeks, to find this was Like finding an Oasis in a desert - not kidding!
Real pale ale at last !
Bought 330 ml bottle from tiny bar on Asoke Rd in BKK, poured into tulip glass.
Appearance: Copper color a bit murky with creamy head, nice lacing
Smell: citrus , lychee, sweet malts
Taste: Follows the nose with decent bitterness
Mouthfeel: good pale ale feel to it.
Overall: If you like New World Pale Ales then this will be for you - if you can find it in Thailand!!

330ml bottle poured into a pint glass.
Pour a clear deep amber color liquid, good head formation with thick frothy white foam that stays with great retention, it slowly subsides to eternal foamy sheet on the surface along with some sticky lacing, high visible carbonation.
Well mellow aroma, kind of fresh fruit, lychee forwards, citrus, floral, herbal, and balance with a sweet biscuity yet caramel malt.
Citrusy and lychee from hop together carry forward then malt just faintly reveals with a sweet biscuit and little toasted note, and hop comes back again to yield robust bitterness at the finish.
Medium body, medium carbonation with smooth mouthfeel and dry finish. It is a little bit lack of malt in the flavor considering the Pale Ale style while seems to let hop overly dominate the taste buds. I would definitely rate as 4 if it is categorized as IPA not Pale Ale.

330ml green glass bottle purchased @ Hair of the Dog in Bangkok.
Pale ale. Brewed in Australia, ostensibly with Thai supervision. 4.70% ABV.
APPEARANCE: Copper body if average vibrance, translucent and transparent. Yeast-free. Cap is off-white, but lacks a robust consistency. Retention is okay - maybe 2 minutes. Leaves little lacing as it recedes.
AROMA: Fruit peel, melon, pale malts, rind.
Aromatic intensity is average.
TASTE: Melon, fruity rind, fruit peel, some pithy bitterness. No juicy fruit character, or really vivid fruits, but thankfully it lacks a tropical bend.
Pale malt backbone.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, medium-bodied, well-carbonated, approachable. Not boozy, astringent, gushed, hot, or rough on the palate.
OVERALL: It's a balanced pale ale with a pleasant flavour, but discerning drinkers after a top tier pale ale loaded with intricacy will need to look elsewhere. Well worth trying when in Thailand, though.

Amber and thin looking, with lots of fast rising bubbles. Topped with 2 fingers of off white head. Leaves a frothy foam.
Pine, pineapple, caramel. Onion and chili peppers.
Pine, pineapple caramel, red chili, onion. A hint of orange zest.
Light body that’s bolstered with thick foamy carbonation giving it a really light but full feeling.
Amazing brew. Found this my first night in Phuket, Thailand where I am drinking it now April 12, 2016. Well rounded, hoppy, but light. Really an excellent brew.
