I picked up a growler of this beer from the brewery in late November 2013.
From the growler, I poured the beer into a .25L wheat glass.
A- The beer has a dark copper color with blonde hues. The liquid is cloudy and opaque and thus one can't see through from one side of the glass to the other. The beer has a finger's thick, fizzy head.
S- Banana is huge. Banana bread too. Clove and spice as well along with some sweetness.
T- The banana aroma continues to the flavor and is complemented by a nuttiness that adds to a thick mouthfeel. There's a slight hint of booze and burn from this, but it is not overbearing. I also detect something like bread pudding which really gives this beer a dessert-like quality.
M- Despite the slight alcohol, the beer drinks rather smoothly and has a creaminess and thick mouthfeel. It's very quaffable.
O- A delicious beer and released at a perfect time of year with Thanksgiving days away. This beer would pair very well with the sweeter dishes.
