This beer was released this week (Dec.2, 2013) at the brewery.
I received the beer in an oversized stein.
A- An amber/brown liquid with an off-white head. The head is a finger thick and is frothy, thick and leaves huge lacing on the side of the glass as it dissipates.
S- The smell is very nutty, bready, malty and has a sweetness similar to caramel.
T- The beer starts bready and even a bit like toast, then becomes sweet. There's some earthiness and nuttiness that moves through the beer.
M- The beer is creamy, smooth with zero bitterness. There's a slight tinge of alcohol, but otherwise it is undetectable.
Overall, another greater German-style beer produced by La Cumbre. I will be drinking plenty more of this as the winter advances.
