Served in a pint glass at the brewery.
Finger of foamy white head. Copper liquid shows. Good clarity. Sticky lacing. 4.5
Smells very orange juice like with passion fruit and malt sweetness. Maybe a touch malty. But I like. 4
Flavor is very fruity. Peachy, orange juice-like, grapefruit. Plenty of delicious flavors here. I enjoy. One thing is I notice the flavor disappears about mid-palate for a moment. 4
Drinks refreshingly to start, but again as on the flavor, the beer seems to disappear mid-palate. The finishing bitterness is a bit potent and lingering for my taste. It's zesty on the finish and that's a pronounced combination. 3.75
This is a good IPA by all accounts but with the rep La Cumbre has, this is a tad lackluster.
