Bomber. Pours bright orange-amber, thick frothy head with good retention, lace for days. Tropical fruit aroma, on the mild side. Taste starts out with juicy orange sweetness followed by dank grapefruit, pine. The hops fade off and the sweetness continues through the sip, with a little resiny pine returning at the end. Nice balance of floavor. Mouthfeel is slick n semi-soft. Overall super clean, balanced, delish IPA. Liked the original perhaps a touch more than the wet hop version, but this one is outstanding as well.

Poured from a bomber into a Stoneface tekus glass; "wet" on 9/15/15
Look: Pours a bright copper-amber. The two inch head slowly dissolves and leaves sticky lacing all over the glass.
Smell: Floral, citrusy hops with a slight sweetness sprinkled in for good measure.
Taste: Waves of hops rush over the palette. They start lemony, then a delicate floral flavor, and finally a resinous-piny finish. A nice malt backbone helps balance out the aggressive hops.
Feel: Nice carbonation, slight alcohol makes me think this would be a bit stronger than 7.5%, leaving a lingering warmth.
Overall: Another great IPA by La Cumbre and the beer lives up to its name. I expected maybe a bit more from the wet hops, and overall I didn't find it dramatically different from the other versions of PD I had had.
Update: I was told by the brewery that they used Chinook hops from the San Louis Valley in CO, to wet hop the beer. I was very surprised as the smell/flavor was more mosaic/citra in its characteristics, but as the hops aren't sourced from the PNW, it's almost like having an entirely different cultivar (so I was told). Pretty cool.

Copper-colored with a touch of haze. Frothy head and tons of sticky lace. Good looking. 5
Take Dank and make it danker. Wow. So sticky and pungent and resinous. But in moves some pineapple and mango. Nice. Notes of sweet malt and vanilla. This is lovely. 4.25
Whoa. Got that east coast tropical fruit vibe. Mango or passionfruit or pineapple. The fruity flavors are wrapped in dank and resinous flavors. As this warms, the earthy hop flavors emerge as does a bit of the malt bill. 4.5
Not sure if the wet hops made the difference or what it was, but this is the smoothest, richest and easiest-drinking Dank I've had in ages. Plenty bitter but not biting, spicy and abrasive as some batches can be. Juicy qualities shine and make this far too easy to enjoy. 5
Spectacular. La Cumbre killed it with these wet hops.
