a fine glass of pale ale here, but for a wet hop offering from a brewery who has already established themselves as being awesome with the hoppy stuff, this left a little bit to be desired for me. the fact that the hops were wet is less obvious than it should be, and while the beer tastes nice and fresh from the tap, i wonder if the proportions are right. nice rich honey colored beer, lots of mat flavor here, a little toasted and a little sweet. maybe a little too much for the more delicate wet hops, which i think struggle a bit to find the foreground of this one. i get a little of that fresh red pepper flavor i sometimes get in fresh hops, i think it comes from the hops not being put into the beer quite fast enough, like early onset oxidation or something, but maybe its also part of a certain type of hops or two in wet form, but its here for sure. a grassy spicy quality, not sure the varietals here, but its not far off a classic cascade profile, made a touch sweeter by the grain. great carbonation and i do like the slightly larger body, but i wanted more of the oily resinous pungent wet hop here, even in a pale ale, and it never really materializes the way i hoped. good beer, dont get me wrong, but as an expression of wet hops its not one of the standouts this season...

A bomber I purchased in Colorado with a sticker on the cap dated 09/09/16. I'll pour this in a 12oz. tulip for the review.
Look- Pours a transparent dark gold with a finger of white foam that settles rather quickly and reveals moderate lacing.
Smell- Pine, spice, earthy grass and some malt.
Taste- Resiny pine along with floral, pineapple, mango and some grass.
Feel- Very crisp and clean with a bitter dry finish.
Overall- This is one very solid wet hopped pale that I wish I could have tried closer to the freshness date for a more fair comparison to the others I've had. That said, I really enjoyed it and would purchase more if I had access. A very crisp and clean beer with a wonderful array of juicy, spicy and slightly earthy flavors. This is a must try for lovers of the wet hops!

Bomber. Pours copper color, thick sudsy white head, great retention and coating lace. Weedy grassy hop aroma. Tastes of light malt sweetness, plenty of wet hop presence, grassy n weedy like the aroma, pine sap bitterness in the finish. Medium oily slick feel. Another delish brew by La Cumbre.
