I was glad I found this in the bomber section of my local store. It's a nice Mexican stout, though not super-heavy or high alcohol. Usually beers like this are at least 9%, but this one checks in at a smaller 6.8%. That means you can really enjoy pairing this with some good Mexican food. I got a nice blend of chocolate and cinnamon from the nose and the flavor. DIdn't really get much of the lactose taste but it's in there to counterbalance the bitter cacao nibs, which works well. Another good beer from La Cumbre.

Picked up a bomber from the Craft Beer Quick Stop on 4-22-18 for $9.99. No bottling date visible. Consumed 7-20-18.
Beer poured dark brown with a decent tan head that dissipated in relatively short order.
Nose was nice, light hints of roasted malts, cocoa, cinnamon, and vanilla.
Taste followed the nose where cocoa was most prevalent for me followed by the vanilla and cinnamon. The first sips were a tad hot which surprised me given this is a 6.8% abv brew. Thought for a minute there may have been hot chilis in the mix but concluded the cinnamon was the heat source. Was not overly sweet surprisingly.
Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and fairly smooth.
Overall a nice beer to have tried, well made!
