On tap at La Cumbre in Albuquerque, NM.
This one pours a very hazy vibrant orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like overripe, almost funky pineapple, peach, grapefruit, and mango.
This is pretty solid, but ultimately La Cumbre most excels at the West Coast IPA style. This has an almost funky fruit character to it, with a slight bitterness, and a decent creaminess on the back end.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and drinkable.
While still pretty solid, I much prefer their more “traditional” IPAs – they are easily one of the best West Coast IPA purveyors in the country currently.

So we're jumping up a year and knocking out some March Madness 2018 beers.
Pours a chicken gravy like appearance, but without the viscosity (thankfully). 1/3" white head. This isn't a hazy ipa, I think its just massively dry hopped to get that unattractive. The nose screams Mosaic hops to me, bursting, and truly deserving in terms of its namesake. Big ass blast of that Mosaic weed, blueberry, guava, passion fruit and humidity kind of push on the nose.
Taste features a good pairing of the Centennial hops bitterness and Mosaic's tropical fruit. Sure, there is some Citra giving some mild tangerine notes, but its largely the countering swipes from the aforementioned Centennial and Mosaic that give this its hearty bitterness that is gently guided along by the Mosaic dank wave. You don't really get the pine like woodiness of the Centennial, just the bitterness as a bouy, and it works wonderfully well.
Don't sleep on some of these New Mexico ipas, I think they're about the most underrated in the nation.

This pours from the can a murky golden straw color, with minimal foaming. There's some nice guava and melon notes on the aroma, complemented by a juicy pineapple and matched by what I find on the palate. Surprisingly tart, more than bitter, with a creamy smooth finish. This is how it's done!

Drinking as part of a flight at the brewery.
Looks like an NEIPA.
Nice and hazy.
Thin head.
But very juicy, maybe some banana in addition to the citrus

Surprised to see what is essentially a NEIPA on tap! Wow it's good too. Smoother than 8.6%, lots of fresh fruit.

Man I love that La Cumbre finally embraced the hazy-life. These last releases have been exciting, this one encompasses three hops, Mosaic, Citra, and Centennial. Centennial and Mosaic are on full display, some good Garlic/onion/cat piss on the front, a slight hop bite at the end is perfect. Cant wait for this line to continue maybe some Galaxy, Motueka in the future LC?
