Look: A deep straw yellow, perfectly transluscent. Foamy white head about a finger and a half deep.
Smell: Grain and some very mild hops up front. Very pilsner-esque with a bit more malt/grain heft behind it.
Taste: Fantastic, in a word. Very evenly balanced with nice, moderate malt up front and a slight hop bite at the end. Not overbearing in any aspect.
Feel: Medium body, almost creamy and moderate carbonation.
Overall: A great Dortmunder overall. A more mellow, refined departure from other American versions I've had.
