The can label indicates this is the 3rd in the brewery's double double hazy double ipa series. Also that the hops used include strata and citra.
As expected, the beer pours a murky golden amber color, with fair head retention and very light lacing. So appearance isn't exactly this beer's strong suit. On the nose, I'm picking up a pretty dank aroma profile, with underlying tropical fruit as well (papaya, pineapple, banana and mandarin orange). The flavor profile replicates the nose pretty closely, with minimal hoppy bitterness in the finish (so fairly in keeping with the style parameters). The beer has a medium bodied mouthfeel, with a fairly long, fruit cocktail finish. Alcohol is pretty well integrated into the flavor profile, in this moderately sweet/malty dipa. There's a touch of heat on the finish, but it doesn't mar the finish or beer's drinkability.
Shrug. As a friend of mine likes to say, this is a pretty typical murk bomb. I'm getting a lot of juice and minimal bitterness, which I guess is what one is looking for in a hazy. Nothing special here, but it's enjoyable enough. Pretty solid effort from this new to me brewery.
