On tap at La Cumbre Brewing in Albuquerque, NM.
This one pours a clear dirty looking orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like grapefruit pith, piney hops, the lightest malt note, orange, lemon, and marijuana.
This is a pretty prototypical West Coast style DIPA – big, bruising, bitter, but with a nice fruity hop character alongside that weedy and piney bitterness. There’s lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, and melon here, with very little overall malt character.
This is medium bodied, very drinkable, with a very refreshing bitterness on the back end.
This is exactly what La Cumbre does so well. This is wonderful.
