Bone dry and aggressively bitter, this Cold IPA combines the carefree drinkability of a Pilsner and the unbridled hop explosion of a West Coast IPA. With tropical notes of pineapple, guava, and lemon, this IPA truly lets the hops shine.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy goldenstraw capped by a two finger meringue; good persistence and some clumps of lacing

Smell: Clean malt tones with a citrusy mix of tangerine, ruby red grapefruit and lemonade

Taste: Crisp and clean, up front, like a pilsner, with the citrus combination and a hint of guava developing; orange flavors wind up dominating but the finish is also crisp and clean

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: The cold IPA trend came and went so quickly I didn't get to taste many of them but a beer like this is perfect for a hot day like today

Thanks, kevindp9, for the opportunity

This beer is a clear gold color with a small, persistent white head. There is a little bit of lace.
Aroma of citrus, a little pine, and some sweet malt.
Grapefruit, orange taste, Late pine. Caramel.
Nicely hopped, just the right degree of bitterness.

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice slightly hazy dark golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice thick/creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, guava, pineapple), pretty nice pineyness like. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, guava, pineapple), very nice piney note like. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer.
