On tap at La Cumbre Brewing
A: Pours crystal clear golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Dank herbal notes, grassy, piney, citrus zest, faint fruity hints, and lightly toasted biscuity bready malt.
T: Dank herbal notes, citrus zest, big grapefruit, lemon, and a touch of tangerine, peppery spice, resinous pine, faint underlying fruity notes, apricot, peach, passion fruit, and papaya, lightly toasty biscuity bready malt, and just a hint of sweetness.
M: A little on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, super easy drinking.
O: Only my second La Cumbre beer, but it's their style through and through. Dry, dank, and damn good.

Poured into a Tree House glass a very nice hazy dark yellow color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy one-finger plus off-white head, which also leaves some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, guava), pretty nice pineyness. The taste is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, guava), pretty nice pineyness. Medium body, ABV is hidden pretty nicely, with a nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, a pretty tasty beer.

Clear golden yellow body; dense, fine-bubble carbonation, thick and lively; thick, frothy head, white and semi-creamy texture, thick rings and strings of foam mark the beer's depth changes. Soft, mellow tropical and pome fruit nose; light alt background. Fantastic flavor; biscuit and cracker malt base; peppery spiciness; bold hop bitterness. Medium-heavy body; soft and velvety on the palate; well-rounded dryness; crisp with a fine bite and snap at the finish.
This edition of Project Dank may well be one of the best I've had over the years. It exudes some incredible complexity and and depth, really emphasizing the hop bitterness in a classic west coast-style IPA tongue ripper sort of way, yet quite balanced and easily approachable.
ABV: 7.5%; pouring temperature: 53 °F: canning info: n/a
