Westcoast IPA
A collaboration IPA with our Liquid Mechanics friends up north. Crisp and lean, this IPA hits up front with apricot, lemon, and ripe honeydew with touches of orange and dank pine in the finish.
Hops: Citra, Mosaic, Strata, Simcoe, Ekuanot

L - clear, golden and crystalline CO2 bubbles. Some lacing, decent foam.
A- maybe it's weak point. Tame melon and grass notes with some additional stone fruit notes as it warms.
T - all is forgiven - a great blend of what we expect in a bitter but balanced malt WCIPA. Delicious balance of grassy, fruity and floral bitterness. Wow.
F - Balanced as F. No hop burn, coats the palate but doesn't become cloying. Really great mouthfeel.
O - a winner of a collab between two great breweries.

Incredibly clear, golden yellow body; dense, rolling carbonation; thick head, white, sculpted, densely foamy. Wonderful aroma of fruity esters and lightly toasted grains; melon and kiwi. Beautifully balanced and nuanced flavor; delicate malt backbone melding with refined hop flavors and bitterness. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel; medium body density; wispy residual sugar feel with a whisper of dryness.
Wow! What a fine, fine collaboration!! La Cumbre and Liquid Mechanics nailed this west coast styled India pale ale. I'm repeating myself, but it is refined, balanced and nuanced across the board. Simply delightful.
ABV: 6.7%; pouring temperature: 49.5 ℉; canning info: CO 1002/24 BB 12/31/24 #3546

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice clean/clear dark golden yellow color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger plus white head, which also leaves some pretty nice thick/creamy sticky lacing behind. The nose is hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, guava, peach), pretty nice pineyness. The taste is very nice, hoppy, malty, with a very nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, guava, peach), very nice pine note. Medium body, ABV hidden very nicely, with a pretty nice dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty beer.
