Beer pours rich, but not dark amber/orange. A frothy head adheres to the side of the glass. Smell is a bit hoppy, but decent balance with the malt. Taste is initially bitter on the back of your mouth, but then ends in a sweet finish. Not the crisp end Id expect from a pale. In fact, the texture has almost an English-style heaviness to it. Drinkability is affected a little by that heavy aspect to it. Not a bad beer at all, but what's up with the $8/pint? I'm knocking the marks down a bit for the hit to my wallet.

i bagged this when masthead did it, and now it seems to be even worse than it was then!!! in fact, heres what i said at that time...
"absolute crap this beer. geez ive been forced to drink this at young and jacksons a few times, but after a while i was prefering campari and soda to this coz there was nothing else in the beer stakes worth contemplating. considering you pay nearly $10 us a bottle for this in oz, its a f%$@#*g rip off.
pours in the usual wheat beer style, but has nothing on the nose to commend it. it tastes like a boring wheat beer that does nothing but scream im sweet. has a dry hop bitternes that in the end doesnt do enuff to hide the overall lack of flavor and/or complexity. dismal in every area.
considering this is suposed to be a top line micro brewed beer, i just feel like breaking out into fits of laughter. one of the most overrated micro brews ive had from anywhere on the planet let alone australia. an absolute joke."
i forgot to mention this beer never fails to make me feel ill, and last time i drank it, man there was nearly a huge technicolor yawn to back it up. damn, this is not a beer i want a refund of!!!
you know i might have been a bit harsh when i did that review many moons ago. my rating of the beer was higher then than it is now. ill admit on second looks my score didnt match up to my comments. they do now haha.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
