It is what it says, Tart ipa. It has a lot of orange/lemon peel. The feel isn’t to heavy. It looks amazing, with a very thin head. Some lacing. Smells great. But the smell is a little misleading when it comes to the flavor.

Extremely clear, no visible carbonation, body; sparse, chunky head. Crystal malt nose with some dull yet spikey sweetness; fresh cut apple. Low-key fruitiness (apples, again); a tad sour with some overall bitterness. Medium body; very dry with just a smattering of fruity sweetness to offset things.
This is one of those beers that might take several tries to fully appreciate. First impressions are so-so. It's certainly not bad yet doesn't really give much initial appeal. There is an overall dryness and aged citrus rind quality to things that, if it's your thing, may be appealing, but for this reviewer, seems a bit flat and dry. Manageable on the drink-ability scale, yet doesn't present a compelling "wow" factor.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 3/27/2018. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, pineapple, mango, melon, papaya, berry, white grape, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, light caramel, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/light funky yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, pineapple, mango, melon, papaya, berry, white grape, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, light caramel, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and Brett tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, apricot, red apple, pineapple, mango, melon, papaya, berry, white grape, citrus zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit, light caramel, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, light musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness/tartness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, fairly sticky, and slightly acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a very nice Brett IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky yeast, citrus/tropical hops, and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly tart/bitter/drying finish. Very well balanced between Brett and juicy hop complexity; nice malt backbone, but not overly sweet. A very enjoyable and well made offering.

Appearance - Pour cloudy orange with nice dense head. Spotty lacing around the glass.
Aroma - The aroma is pretty unique and more like a farmhouse ale than an IPA or sour. Getting a bit of funk along with some lemon and grassy/earthy aromas. There is also hints of grapefruit and slightly floral notes.
Taste - There is tartness just a touch, light floral flavors. There is more sourness in the taste than the aroma let's on but it is toward the front end with more of a light funk/hay on the finish.
Feel - Light side of medium actually pretty easy drinking almost light. soft carbonation.
Overall - I am pretty impressed with this beer, other than the aroma lending to farmhouse it hits the marks with light tartness and some orange grapefruit IPA qualities.

$ 5.50 / 15 oz snifter (Snifter is 16 oz but is always an oz short of filled). $ 0.367/oz at brewery. Served at bar reefer temperature.
Aroma – lightly floral.
Head – small when received, white, creamy, low density, short retention time, diminishing to a three to seven mm irregular ring and a thin layer with rocks.
Lacing – good. Thick partial rings of tiny bubbles.
Body – medium yellow, hazy.
Flavor – Slightly tart and very refreshing although a bit flowery. No malt, no alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate – light, watery, lively carbonation.
A very pleasant example of a tart brew, one of the better that I’ve had.
Appearance 4, Aroma 4, Flavor 4, Palate 4, Overall 4.25.
