Notes: The final installment of our dry-hopped barrel-aged sour Space Trilogy. Immortal bursts out of the can with massive orange citrus aroma giving way to notes of juicy peach and cantaloupe. Not aged with fruit, this beer is a study in the intersection of lactobacillus and hops. Dry hopping with Citra and Amarillo just before packaging, this barrel-aged sour pops with bright fruitiness and balances the lacto sour for an enjoyable sip.

Clear, golden body; plenty of carbonation; thick, soapy white head. Nice aroma blend mingling elements of wheat and dry grass, ripe peaches and green apples. Bold and tart sourness to the flavor; some hard to define subtle earthiness; very faint light cereal grain. Medium body; a bit smooth; juicy and tangy; leaves an overall dryness on the palate.

This wild ale delivers a pretty straightforward sour experience with just a bit of hop citrus and earthy scent. A fine beer to kick back with when you're in the mood for a wild ale.

This beer is a real treat -$5 for a pint, and a bargain at that. Pours a pale gold, a lot of particulate, has a brilliant appearance. Smells beautifully of white grapes, pears, tangerines, lemons, vinegar, oak. Fantastic feel, tastes almost like champagne as it warms. Juicy, hoppy, oaky, dry, has a really nice almost winelike quality, this is delicious. Worth seeking out.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 1/2019. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy pale golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, toasted oak, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, toasted oak, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, peppercorn, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness, Brett tang, herbal/floral/grassy bitterness, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, toasted oak, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, lightly toasted biscuit, light vanilla/leather/funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Amazing complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt, tart, bitter, spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/tang/tartness, oak tannins, and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and acidic/sticky/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.5%. Overall this is an amazing dry hopped sour/wild ale! All around incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/acidic/tangy/spicy/drying finish, not overly lactic. Extremely juicy/vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy Citra/Amarillo hops; with perfectly balanced Brett/Bacteria complexity, oak barrel presence/integration, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing spot on style example. Definitely their best sour yet.
