16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/1/2019. Pours very hazy/cloudy ruby red/orange color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/juicy blood orange, cranberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, peppercorn, oak, musty Brett funk, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, biscuit, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of blood orange, cranberry, fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak, and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tart/juicy blood orange, cranberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, peppercorn, oak, musty Brett funk, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, biscuit, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness, herbal/floral/grassy bitterness, and light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/juicy blood orange, cranberry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red/green apple, red grape/wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, grass, peppercorn, oak, musty Brett funk, wheat, cracker, toasted bread, biscuit, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of blood orange, cranberry, fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak, and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/tangy/bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly acidity/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is an awesome fruited wild saison! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of blood orange, cranberry, fruity/funky/spicy yeast, oak, and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/spicy/drying finish; not overly lactic. Awesome balanced juicy fruits, Brett/Bacteria/Saison yeast complexity, oak, and a great pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example as expected of the brewery.
