Can to CBS snifter.

A - Black with two fingers of medium brown head that reduced to one finger. Good lacing.

S - Dark chocolate, coffee, Belgian yeast, roast and some char. A fairly prominent sweetness is present with some molasses notes.

T - A big roast profile is complimented by semi-sweet chocolate and char up front. Belgian yeast is present without dominating. Some coffee and molasses notes are present in a a fairly big sweetness that is nicely balanced with some bitterness and a touch of warming alcohol that is otherwise well hidden for the ABV

M - Medium body, light carbonation.

12oz pour on tap at the brew pub. Just tapped this week and served in a goblet.

Pours a near pitch black with a 1/2 finger dark mocha head. Almost no lacing

Nose is dark chocolate, roasty malt and mild coffee.

Great imperial stout flavors of chocolate, cherries, roasty dark malts, coffee, caramel and molassess. Just a little bit of booze bite. Great blend of flavors.

Medium heavy body with mild carbonation. Long sweet bitter cocoa aftertaste.

An excellent offering at an outstanding establishment. So great fresh that I'd love to see it packaged so I could age it.
