Growlser into a pint
A - Pours a deep dark, somewhat thick black color. A hair of amber shows here and there. Head formation is light, mocha color, just a film with little lacing.
S - Decent amount of roasted malts. Light amount of breadiness from the yeast. Some chocolate and oatmeal.
T - Starts off lightly chocolately, light amount of cinnamon and spiciness starts to appear. A little vanilla as well. The bourbon flavors don't really poke through. Finishes lightly sweet, a hair of roasted malts. Overall, a sweeter stout.
M - Light carbonation, moderate body leaves towards a light mouthfeel. A little bit of alcohol warmth in the finish.
O/D - Interesting beer, very drinkable. Well hidden alcohol, both in flavor and mouthfeel. The bourbon flavors just aren't there for this to be an obvious bourbon flavored beers.

We tried this one with friends Saturday afternoon up at the brewery in Loveland. Listed as a stout infused with bourbon.
Poured clear dark brown with a light tan head. Aromas of vanilla, roasted malt and bitter chocolate. On the palate, this one was medium bodied and smooth, with lots of vanilla (thought not a whole lot of bourbon) roasted malt and chocolate.

I liked the first second or two of this beer and it then it harsh a not so nice smoky aftertaste. Here's what the brewer had to say...
This Bourbon infused stout was a crazy experiment. Unlike most experiments this one turned-out really well. The first batch sold-out in one week. Now, it is one of our best selling beers. This is a very nicely balanced stout with a great clean finish. Our customers insist it is one of best in its' class.
