from a growler into a red wine goblet
look; not quite black with a shiny reddish brown hue, small frothy head , little retention, spotty soapy lacing
smell; chai with chocolate powder, .tiny hint of cinnamon
taste; really good mexican chocolate taste, a little bitter, a little hops, tiniest hint of jalapeno
feel; rich, bitter, some carbonation tingle, more than i like
overall; it's lighter and lower alcohol than it needs to be to be perfect, also slightly overcarbonated, that said, it's delicious, spicy, better than night shift tazo and nails the mexican chocolate flavor

Sample at EBF 2016
Solid dark brown color. Big spicy tannic tea on the nose and in the flavor. The malt isn't big enough to stand up to the spice treatment here. Just OK.

Unafraid of the Dark series. Mexican style horchata porter. Very mild spices, creamy and smooth.
