From a 32oz growler poured yesterday
Pours a pitch black color, minimal head with only some large bubbles that fade quickly, no lacing on the glass.
Smell has a huge dark fruit aroma, nice roasted malt backing but it's really the dark fruit that is the dominant aroma.
Taste is fairly sweet throughout but not in a sugary or cloying way, the dark fruit aspect really shines, no doubt from a large quantity of plums, the barrel ageing is subtle but there is a decent woodiness to it, carbonation is medium-low but was higher in draft form at the bar, body is fairly viscous without being overly sticky so it's easy to drink but I prefer to sip, it's quite surprising for so much flavor being present that there isn't a high alcohol percentage to accompany it,
