Poured on-tap and served in a tumbler pint, the beer is a cloudy, muddled, nut brown coloring with a filmy, yellowish coating on the surface. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, and some earthy tones. Flavors are bitter, with an espresso character, but with a slightly watered down body. Rich and roasted, with a tangy bitter profile at the end of the palate. The aftertaste is a muddle of coffee and bitters, with an overall roasting. The finish is bitter, but tangy at the same time. The mouthfeel is a bit awkward, and the body is too light for me, but an interesting flavor profile overall.
