Pours deep dark brown, nearly black wth a very dark brown head. Decent retention dropping to a ring. A little lace.
Smell is rich with dark fruits, dark chocolate, caramel and turbinado sugar. Well balanced.
Taste is the same with a coffee note added in. Great balance here as well.
Full-bodied and lightly effervescent. Smooth, rich, chewy and warming. Extremely delicious. A truly fine beer that I hope Darren brews again. But he won't, damn it. I asked and he told me every beer is a one batch run.
