Infected. Straight up acetone, which is too bad since it's a gift from a friend visiting from down under, as well as a good-looking beer and an unusual take on the red ale style.

Pours dark amber, small head.
Nose shows full-on saffron, orange marmalade and bready malt. Very sweet-smelling, incredibly potent.
Similar sweet and boozy flavours. Again, lots of marmalade notes and saffron. A little medicinal.
Pretty crazy and interesting stuff, even if it was a bit of a struggle to get through!

hard to get past the solvent aroma, which fills the mouth too... but an interesting beer in there.. I guess.. typical moon dog?

Huge yellow fluffy head. Stunning lacing. Brown pour, cola in glass. Good retention. Settles nicely.
Fruity. Alcohol. Saffron. Light Oak. Dried fruits. Belgian. Sugary.
Licorice, anise. Loads of spice, saffron. Medicinal finish. Sweet front-mid. Tart Black currant. Alcohol is well integrated.
Chewy. Suitable medium carbonation. Full body. Drying
A satisfying but strange amalgamation of a Quad, a Scotch Ale, and MAYBE a barreled Amber. The spices, especially saffron, really carry through. Far better than last years!

This is a jump off last years style, special ingredient and barrel its a hungarian oak aged saffron'd red ale and it pours a dark copper red hue with a weird yellowish creamy head obviously due to the saffron and yeah looks like typical moondog fashion, wow the smell is weird its big and boozy aswell as saffron, a touch of oak and some dried fruits its different, the feel is full bodied with slight carbonation and the tastes are quite sweet with caramel malts, raisins,a touch of port and finished sweet with a sticky date pudding flavour and overall the hops have quite died off already so dont know how well it age but its quite tasty tho cheers.
