From the Bozzebud Advent Calendar 2022, day 20. Drunk in April 2023.
L: Bright, orange-tinged beer with a head that looks exactly like sherbet fizz and which disappeared very quickly. No carbonation can be seen in the glass.
S: Smells like orange Berocca. I don't know if that's a thing outside Australia, but it's a fizzy Vitamin B supplement, famous for being drunk after a big night. This is not how a beer should smell, but it perfectly suits the aesthetic of this beer, so marked high accordingly.
t: Tastes like orange Berocca too. For mine, this is a perfect gateway beer for someone that claims they don't like the beer because, well, it doesn't taste like beer! That's not a good or bad thing. It's not my style at all, but it is absolutely doing what the beer says it will do, and I've gotta mark it high for that.
M: The beer is marketed as an Orange Sherbet Ale, and as with the smell and taste, it nails the brief. Mouthfeel is like a mouthful of sherbet. Ever had ice cream in a soft drink? This is exactly like that. Not my thing at all in a beer, but spot on for this one.
O: I'm torn. I really enjoyed this, but the beer connoisseur in me is horrified by it. For beer ratings to be worth anything, however, they need to be about rating to style, and this one is a one-wood down the fairway of the Orange Sherbet Ale style (if such a style ever existed, which is likely to occur shortly before the apocalypse!).
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
