Went on a Sunday evening and was highly disappointed that they do not offer a full menu on Sunday. They only have sandwiches and salads on Sundays, no enterees. I did have the Beer Cheese Soup, which was good. Also had the Cuban sandwich which was also good, but I did not really want that and have had much better. was really looking forward to trying the Pork Tenderlion or Ribeye that a friend had recommended. I will go back and make sure that I go on any day other than Sunday. The beer, I had a flight just to test it all, it included: Big Bang Brew an ale that was ok, not special though; Endagered Sea Bear (ESB), I enjoyed it's malty flavor and smooth finish, I also ordered a full pint of this ESB; Rip Van Dunkle, a nice Dunkle that my wife enjoyed, who normally like Hefe's; and a Kolsch called Captain Eddy, hard to comment to much since this is not my favorite style. Over all I did enjoy it, but would caution against going on Sunday, but I am really looking forward to returning to try the Ribeye with a their Porter and will come back to update how that was.

Georgia's newest brewpub, Toasted & Tapped Brewery Restaurant opened in late 2010, in the small town of Flowery Branch, just west of Buford Hwy, between Buford and Gainesville, Georgia.
With the initial visit - in addition to this being a new brewpub - one needs to bear in mind that this is a previously "uncolonized" area, i.e., it is Hall County's first brewpub, with a young, enthusiastic brewer, Paul Coggins. Coggins was trained at UC Davis and spent a year with Spoetzl Brewing Co. as a lab technician. Currently brewing with a 1/2 bbl system, Coggins hopes to soon expand to a 1 bbl system to keep the 6 taps flowing. They are not currently set up to properly brew lagers, though that is part of the planned upgrading of the system.
Their flagship brand is Big Bang Brew, a specialty ale with a hint of Belgian influence. The other ales were Thrice Fried Trippel, Rip Van Dunkel, Leviathan Baltic Porter, Guvnah IPA, and Endangered Sea Bear ESB.
I pleasantly enjoyed the Big Bang, Thrice Fried, and the Rip Van Dunkel. [Please bear in mind that I don't have brewer-quality taste buds or a finely-tuned sense of smell.] The ESB and Baltic Porter were also pleasant, but as they warmed, there seemed a bit of weakness in the aftertaste of both. The only real disappointment was with the Guvnah IPA, which seemed lacking in a distinct hoppy aroma and flavor.
I would encourage other North Atlanta BAs to visit Toasted & Tapped and offer positive feedback and encouragement. When time and funds allow, I hope to make monthly visits.
