Black in color with no light penetration. A fingernail of beige surrounds the rim and most of the top. The aroma is heavily laden with sweet dark rum and is a bit medicinal. The taste is overwhelmed with sweet rum barrel flavoring. I'm sure there's plenty of roasted barley, but it's not enough to pick out. The mouth is thick and alcoholic.
