On tap at Tioga Sequoia Brewing Co
A: Pours hazy golden orange with a frothy of white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little light lacing.
S: Toasted coconut, dank herbal notes, citrus, a little tropical fruit, caramel sweetness, and a little bready malt.
T: Dank herbal notes, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, orange, tropical fruit, pineapple and papaya, pine, bready malt, caramel sweetness, and a fair bit of toasted coconut that comes out more and more as it warms.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Interesting experiment, but I'm not blown away by it. Dankness up front doesn't really blend well with everything else, and I'm still not sold on coconut in IPAs, no matter how tropical.
