On tap at Tioga Sequoia Brewing
A: Pours nearly black with a frothy tan head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Roasted malt, dark bitter chocolate, a touch of char, candied raspberry, a hint of vanilla, lactose, and a touch of toffee sweetness.
T: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, a touch of char, earthy, raspberry comes through as almost candy filling like and emerges more as it warms and takes on an almost raspberry cordial flavor, a touch of vanilla, lactose, a touch of toffee sweetness, and a hint of alcohol poking through.
M: A bit on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy.
O: I feel like they could have bumped this one up a bit to get a better effect. Bring a little more chocolate malt and body to help carry things. Cool idea, but kinda meh execution.
