Who doesn't love Yosemite? I went there again last year and picked this up there as I had to, given this beer's moniker. No, this isn't going to win any awards but on a warm spring day like this, this was great to sip as was as soft, fun, and assuming as a beer of this style could be!
Of course, this poured like straw up front but was like melon when the bottom had to be swirled out, as it was topped off with plenty of thick and uneven foam that quietly settled. Only a thin hint of a wavy ring remained near the top of my pint glass, once the head dissipated and I took a few sips. Blood orange, wheat, and grass were in the muted nose as those were also in the taste. A bit of citrus twang, honey sweetness, lemon-lime soda, strawberry patch, and malt came in on the palate as this was balanced and a bit sour in the back. Nice body, a lively carbonation, and nearly no alcohol ensured that this would not last long, even if it wasn't particularly memorable or noteworthy.
Canned on what looked to be the 191st day of last year, this held up alright as there were a few dark bits of sediment swirling in the liquid. After a long day of hiking, this would be perfect to reach for, or to have again and again. Love the love for Yosemite here as I'll look for this on my next visit there!

Can poured into a pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden straw with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Bright, citrus, grassy, wheat twang, and crackery malt.
T: Bright citrus zest, blood orange, lime, and lemon, a bit grassy, a hint of apricot, a little wheat twang, and crackery malt.
M: Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: I'll be honest, I didn't have high hopes for this one. But for what it is, it's actually really nice. Bright, clean, refreshing. Everything you want in a 4% crusher.
