Poured into pint glass, thick tan head dissipates quickly. Dark dark brown stout color with a definite toasted nutty nose with light cocoa. Not getting any burnt/dark/malty aroma. Awesome (to me) melding of hazelnut, cocoa, slight vanilla, and maltiness lingers a bit on the back of the tongue without a strong alcohol taste. Smooth, creamy, and well-balanced, this is quite good.

On tap at Tioga Sequoia Brewing Co
A: Pours basically black with a frothy khaki head that settles to a light layer and, leaves a little light lacing.
S: Toasty, nutty, plenty of hazelnut, roasty, earthy, milk chocolate, a touch of vanilla, and a little toffee sweetness.
T: Roasty toasty, nutty, hazelnut jumps right out, milk chocolate, a bit earthy, a hint of vanilla, and toffee sweetness.
M: Medium to full body, moderately lively carbonation, slightly creamy.
O: Basically Autumnus imperialized to take on the classic TS imperial milk stout base. Fairly hazelnut forward, super smooth, really nice sipper while sitting around the fire pit.
