"Honey Baltic Porter: Lager brewed with honey"
L - pours a mostly hazy brown with slight transluscent crimson kisses. Meandering head takes its sweet time to rise to the surface.
S - fresh and roasty. Hoppy with a hint of salt. Honey sweetness quickly takes over.
T - promises honey... delivers honey. Rich and sweet, not a whole lot of bitter roast that Baltic porters usually provide. Bittersweet chocolate and metal. Wild berries.
F - creamy, but a touch airy. Drinkable for 8.5%.
O - nothing really blows my socks off, but I do like the addition of honey. Adds another element of sweetness not usually found in BPs. And it's not one of those beers that touts a honey explosion and falls miserably short. I like Benny, he lives up to his word and has a killer brewpub.
