Notes:
Urban Chestnut chose to brew this Pre-Prohibition style American Pilsner in honor of St. Louis' beloved Forest Park. This beer represents a style that was popular in the US at the time of Forest Parks opening in 1876. And like Forest Park, this beer has a fine, Noble character and is accessible to all.

Dark golden colored with a fingernail of off white around the rim and covering a quarter of the top. The aroma is of grassy bitter hops and tart Czech yeast. I’m tasting grassy hops and crisp, light malt. The mouth is light and easygoing.

Rereviewed 2020/12/05:
Somewhat hazy yellow straw with 1.5 finger head, lots of lacing. Hops are earthy, floral, and spicy on the nose, hay like with a bit of bread and cream corn. Flavor follows. Moderate bitterness. Crisp with a light mouthfeel.
Original from when I wasn't much of a light lager fan:
Draft. Straw with persistent one finger head. Smells and tastes of fruity light malt with slight spicy hop character. Very clean, of course. It's a pils.

I’ve had this brew several times at the brewery and am now doing the review while enjoying it at the boathouse in Forest Park. Appropriate.
Yellow gold with a foamy head and a bit of haze. Dry, crisp, clean and floral. Excellent representation of the style.
Very satisfying on a hot and humid St Louis summer day.

Really tasty and refreshing. Slightly hoppier than some of their other lager offerings, but still light, clean, and super easy drinking.
