It's been 100 years since Stan The Man was born, and The Musial family, along with Urban Chestnut, is honoring and celebrating Stan with a special, commemorative beer - #6 Classic American Lager. Stan very much enjoyed a little beer from time to time, so UCBC brewed this Lager beer with a recipe that like Stan, pre-dated Prohibition, and is classically St. Louis.

Picked up a single can after visiting the brewery earlier today. Pretty simple but tasty with a creamy texture and bright bread note. More full bodied and satisfying than you usually find with this style.

Stan the Man's beer and it's not a gimmick what it lacks in flavor it makes up for in smoothness and drinkablity plus how can you not love that can!!

Beginner review!
Pale, straw color. Clear without haziness. Taste fits the style of macro American lager well; no unpleasantness like other macro-style beers I have tasted. Slightly less carbonated than a soda. Crisp, medium mouth-feel. Overall, enjoyable beer that would replace most beers within this category for me. I enjoyed this beer.

The No. 6 is a fun beer! You needn't be a beer snob to enjoy it. As a matter of fact, this is a perfect American lager to drink from the can. If you do pour it, the No. 6 is pale blond, not much head but lots of carbonation. It has the clean finish you find with lagers containing adjuncts. Your dad or grandad would think this is just fine as it replicates the macrobrews they drank since the end of Prohibition. It reminds me very much of Falstaff. If you happen to be a boomer, having a No. 6 will remind you of the days when you hung out near a package store hoping to get a young, legal-aged adult to buy your underaged selves a six pack!

Light straw with 1.5 finger head. White bread with a hint of rice and cream corn. Flavor is rounded out by substantial yeast. Mouthfeel is surprisingly full, I'd say medium light.

Review #1436
The beer is nearing the best before date. The adjunct lager aromas emitted after I opened the can. The beer poured in a pint glass at 36 degrees. The pour of the beer produced a frothy two-finger head, with a dismal head. The beer has an abundant amount of carbonation within the pale yellow liquid. The appearance of this beer is typical for this style. Nothing about how this beer looks are above average.
The aromas in the beer are cooked corn, biscuits, subtle floral hops, bready, and phenolic.
The flavors in the beer are corn, lightly toasted malts, crackers, floral, subtle herbal, bread, and a band-aid.
The mouthfeel of the beer is carbonated, light, and crisp.
The body of the beer is light, high carbonation, and a light finish.
The beer smells like Budweiser, yet it does not have cooked corn flavors or aromas. For an Adjunct lager, this is a good one. This beer is one of the better representations of this style. I enjoyed this beer.

Bubbly golden clear body with a white cap. Honey biscuit and slight corn in the nose. Taste rounds out well, curbing the effect of the sweet corn adjunct, with lemon zest and slight grass in with the biscuit and honey. Feel is bright, light, sudsy, decently carbonated, a good adjunct lager.

head is thicker, stickier, longer lasting. More mainstream AAL scents; light malt. Still a light and indistinct beer taste. The body is light with a modicum of body.
Some general improvements this go around, yet still a mediocre AAL...
------------
Outstanding pale straw yellow body; minimal carbonation; thin, white head; patchy fingers of foam stick to the glass. Fair aroma; a little honey and corn. Some bright sweetness to the taste and a bit of bitterness appearing towards the finish; a touch of adjunct corn taste is also in the mix. Light body; thin yet crisp; semi-dry.
Even for an adjunct lager, this beer is pretty mediocre, especially when it comes to taste and mouthfeel. I can see this being a decent beer for a summer cookout or a ball game or at the beach.
