The unmistakable characteristics of this Bavarian Weissbier are achieved with a yeast that is decidedly fruity and phenolic. You may note clove, nutmeg or even vanilla and/or banana-like aromas and flavors.

Second in this line of new beers to my area. Love a well-made Weizen, hope I've found a new choice.
Trademark .5 liter bottle, mysterious date code missing from the bottle neck.
L -- Hazy, golden, light peach color with a dense white head that thins quickly, but revives easily.
S -- Sweet barley malt and wheat malt, clove spiciness, light banana and light DMS.
T -- Good bready maltiness up front, light clove spiciness following with light vanilla in balance, light wheat graininess in the finish, spicy hops and a light tart citrus character linger through the aftertaste.
M -- Mouthfeel is soft to crisp with a light to medium-light body.
O -- A very nice take on the style with a clove phenolic that is very reminiscent of the Schneider beers. This will be a great patio beer for the coming summer.

This beer pours a cloudy golden color with a creamy white head that goes away quickly and leaves some lacing. The aroma is more like a Belgian, but light and smooth. Taste is slight banana and clove, sweet, fruity and wheat malt. Light beer with a good flavor. 16 IBUs Rated 1-19-2025

Poured a somewhat cloudy, straw-gold body with decent head and minimal lace down the glass. The aroma has sweet notes of banana and clove. Light to medium body, more sweet than dry or spicy, has a bubblegum yeast sweetness with hints of banana and clove in background and then has a light, acidic zip for a finish.

Can into Nucleated Pilsner
Look: Semi hazy straw yellow, pouring a 1.5 finger head which dissipated into a silky cap. Very nice effervescence
Smell: Yeasty and doughy malt. Nice bit of lemon zest in there and some orange peel. Got a touch of grassy hops. Banana and vanilla I think as well. Medium strength nose
Taste: Mellow yeast, banana, lemon zest and biscuit malt. Slowly fades, revealing orange peel, a a hint of toasted wheat bread. Finish is very subtle and slowly fades as such.
Feel: Silky texture, medium body, gentle carbonation
Overall: One of the best hefes I have ever had

Poured from a can into a pint glass. Pours yellow orange with a small white head. Smells of sweet wheat and banana, nice and inviting. Tastes of sweet banana and wheat notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Schnickelfritz pours an amber color with a larger, long-lasting lacing head. The aroma has notes of dark banana. The aroma has notes of banana and dark spice. The flavor is the same, spicy, note of banana, but "darker." Good feel. Overall, very tasty hefeweizen, not so bright, has a sweetness though.

I’ve heard some good things about Urban Chestnut over the years but haven’t had a chance to try them yet. When I saw they had a Hefe on Tavour I figured it was a perfect time to give them a shot. Let’s crack it open and see what it’s all about
Pours a cloudy yellow gold with 2 fingers of frothy off white head that fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is pretty standard for the style and doesn’t stand out much but I dig it. I’m picking up on aromas of banana bread, lemon juice, sweet honey, orange juice, clove, earthy wheat, and bready malt
Things are a bit more bland in taste, but it’s still pretty good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting bready malt, underripe banana, lemon zest, orange zest, earthy wheat, and light bubblegum. The swallow brings notes of banana bread, bubblegum, lemon zest, doughy malt, earthy wheat, light clove, and floral hops
A medium body pairs with gentle tingling carbonation, resulting in a crisp and slick bser. Finishes mostly dry and refreshing
It’s not my favorite Hefeweizen but it’s not bad by any means
