500ml bottle. No code date. Appearance is light golden with a slight haze and frothy white foam head. Aroma: Floral and spicy hop note reminiscent if a German pilsner. Slight grainy malt also noticeable. Taste: Light, grainy malt with strong bitterness that delivers herbal, spicy notes. Overal taste is more like a German pils than a pale ale. Mouthfeel: Medium to high body with moderate carbonation. Finish: Very dry with lingering herbal bitterness. Overall: A strange pale ale in that it most closely resembles the overall character of a pilsner. Has some of the malt/hop character of an English Pale Ale, but it’s a stretch. At the end of it all, this I something I would only drink one of, which makes me not favor it.

16oz bottle. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of cracked wheat, grains and hints of citrus. Sweet wheat taste with citrus and subtle bitterness.

Light brass in color with a somewhat hazy complexion. There's a fingernail of off white head on top. Brussels lacing. Sourdough bread aroma along with an earthy lemon zest note. The first sip reveals some complex grain profile. It reminds me of honey nut Cheerios with a lemon zest note at the back of the palate. The mouth is crisp and refreshing, but maybe a bit watery.

Poured from the tap a slightly hazy orange-gold color with two fingers of off-white head. Generous lacing.

Aroma of citrus hops, yeast, rye and wheat.

The taste was hoppy citrus in a nice balance with the graininess.

Light-to-medium bodied with a moderate carbonation.

A tasty little wheat ale that I'll definitely have again.

Enjoyed on-tap @ Urban Chestnut Brewing Company in St. Louis, MO for $5. Tapped from the Orange/Blue Tap Handle w/ Pilgrim 7 down the middle into an Imperial Nonic Glass.

Aroma- Tons of yeast and barley hit the nose at first. Then a nice rye and the average hop aroma sweeps in and finishes this one.

Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that dies quickly. Has a golden body that is very clear. Leaves good lacing behind.

Flavor- Tons of the grainy wheat flavor makes up almost everything in this taste with a small amount of hop taste. Has a light bitterness at the finish from the hops.

Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Smooth but nothing is left on the palate... I'm not too worried about this.

Overall Impression- A very refreshing, mildly hoppy American Pale Wheat! The bartender told me this was inbetween the styles of an American Pale Wheat and an American Pale Ale. Since it definitely isn't dry hopped, has a big punch of hops, and/or has small ABV's, it cannot be an APA. A good brew to start out with but nothing too exciting ever. This is why it is here, to be one of their session brews.
