16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, pineapple and caramel. Sweet, tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a sharp, piney bitterness.

 

 

Once one of my local favorites, I haven't seen a new beer from this brewery in a while, especially since their ownership change. Although I'm not a big fan of this style, I'm excited to try it. It pours a completely opaque, hazy, orange color with an enormous, stable, intricate, white head. The aroma has a large fruit and must character. Plenty of juicy tropical fruit notes, backed by a wet-earth and herbal quality. The taste is fruity, with more earthy hop characteristics. Balanced in taste, with a thick mouthfeel. It doesn't have the biting, almost acidic, distractions of some hazys. Instead, this one has the requisite juice notes without that distraction. Flavorful hop finish. Not bad.
