Black in color with no light penetration. There’s a fingernail of beige on top. The aroma is of roasted malt. I’m tasting dark, roasted malt. The mouth is creamy and smooth.

Near black with creamy, 1.5 finger light tan to off white head. I didn't realise this was going to be nitro! Nose is burntish roast with oatmeal, toast, and light American. The flavor follows, with a hint of smokiness. The hops add faint citrus. Reminds me very much, I think, of their export stout. Nitro and oatmeal smooth with medium to medium light body. Reasonably bitter with vague hoppy bitter aftertaste.

Had on tap at the brewery.
Pours a dark shiny black with a thick shaving cream consistency like tan head.
Smell was of roasted malts, lactose, toasted oatmeal, and a hint of hops.
Taste followed the nose with flavors of roasted malts, toasted oatmeal a hint of sweet lactose, and mild hoppy bitterness. Very clean dry flavor to the beer. Nothing amazing, but certainly appropriate for the style.
Feel was smooth, velvety and luscious. Mild carbonation, but it drank so smoothly.
Overall a very nice representation of the style.

I had this beer on tap at The Scottish Arms, in St. Louis. It is utterly black, with a two finger, dense tan head. The aroma is of roasted grain, with a hint of smoke. The beer is absolutely dry...dry, clean, and mildly toasty. Lightly hopped. Drinkable and solidly good.

16oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, cream colored head of foam. It smelled of chocolate, caramel and flaked oats. Nice chocolatey taste with some caramel and a mild bitterness.

Pours a black color. 1/2 inch head of an off-tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of sweet malt, slight oatmeal, pale malt, hint of roasted malt, and dry hop. Fits the style of an Irish Dry Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is also a noticeable dryness. Tastes of slight roasted malt, sweet malt, slight dry hop, slight pale malt, and a hint of oatmeal. Overall, good appearance, aroma, feel, and blend.
