In today’s world of brewing, it’s rare and exceptional to find a beer like Seitz Farm Terroir. A beer in which the hops’ source (terroir) is a single farm. In this case…Seitz Farm (aka Zum Baur) located in Nietenhausen, Germany. Established in 1890 by George and Maria Seitz, Zum Baur is still owned and operated by Florian Seitz, a descendant of the original hop growers.

Poured from the bottle a lightly hazed orange-gold with two fingers of rich white head. Plenty of sticky lacing left behind.
Bright aroma of tropical fruit, lemon zest, grass and a light spiciness along with sweet bready malts.
Aroma syncs up nicely with the aroma. Mango, lemon, a light spiciness and grassy hops were well-balanced with a sweet, bready maltiness. Finished clean.
Medium bodied and a bit dry with a crisp carbonation.
Urban Chestnut makes a very nice lager, indeed. Will definitely have this one again.
