Hip, good tunes and atmosphere. Modern art and tasteful wooden accents. Menu is adequate, pickle plate and artisan plates suited my low-carb palate. Stout was unavailable due to tap issue. Recommended.

A laid-back, interstate-side deck. I've only been there in the afternoon, so have been able to enjoy a quiet outdoor two with a pretzel. Both the interior and exterior are spacious and comfortable. And the beer deserves its laudits, even if they never are quite revelatory.

Very nice place. Service was great, almost every employee talked to us. Cool gift shop and a great outdoor place to hang out and play games. If this was closer to me I would be there a lot.

Fairly large building with plenty of parking. Nice dark wood interior with a big bar. Good quality beers. The service is solid and quite friendly. They continue to grow their variety of beer styles.

A buddy and myself were driving across country and decided to stay in Rolla because it was a convenient place to stop. My buddy's wife called to tell us she researched the area and told us about this place, what a great wife. We were very pleased with the look and feel of the pub when we entered. It was Saturday night and the place was busy but still had room for a couple of strangers from out of town. The waitress was prompt and attentive with everyone. The beer was a very nice surprise. I had an IPA that they had just tapped and it was excellant. My friend who is the beer nut had several different beers and liked them all. We were so impressed we stopped by when we came back east. The owners talked with us for about half an hour and showed us around and talked beer. If I am ever back in Rolla I will definately return to this little gem.

Just got back from here, nice little place! Very quaint, kind of dark inside, lots of wood, the bar, furniture, the entire place really was mostly wood furniture, which made it nice. The thing that really stood out was that it was QUIET inside; you could actually have a real conversation without shouting.
The food menu looked good although it was mostly appetizers and smaller dishes, collegy stuff like hummus, quite affordable.
Service was pretty good too. Didn't have to wait too long and everyone was friendly. Military discount was offered without asking (I guess my short hair gave it away).
The beer was where this place stood out most. i started with the English Mild and it was a pretty good mild beer. Then I tried all the rest over the time I was there, all were either good or great. Selection wasn't big, only five beers on the menu, but all were tasty and fresh and obviously someone put some serious time and effort into them. They ranged from around a B to a solid A- or A quality beer with their dry Irish stout, which was outstanding.
Reviews to follow, and add some beers too.

I am a Rolla native and this is the only pub that I have been drawn to -- a home away from home (think Cheers).
When you walk in you will see a long bar along the right side and a series of booths along the left. Several tables are also available. The decor is dark wood, some brass, and beer-themed artwork. I guess it's probably what you'd call an English Pub theme. After speaking with one of the two owners, Josh Stacy, I discovered it actually 'is' supposed to be an English Pub feel. He also allowed that the peaceful atmosphere (no loud music here) is meant to be conducive to conversation and the quaffing of session beers.
Which brings me to the beer...mild, stout, pale ale, and Kolsch, in addition to a seasonal brew. All of them are solid examples, with the mild and stout being my go-to beers (both excellent).
The service is usually very helpful and attentive (unless they are real busy), and the prices are slightly high for me, but I still love the place. There are over a dozen brewpubs in Missouri, and this is one of the very top ones.

The atmosphere is great with local artists being rotated out frequently, great rustic appeal, books lining the walls, and a set up that is conducive to the art of conversation. To make this place even better, they specialize in session beers (awesome!), however don't ignore the cries for bigger beers (they rotate guest breweries frequently). They have a limited menu, though, what they do have is all locally sourced. They have artisan meat and cheese plates and source from Swiss and a couple of other local cheese producers.
Beers that they regularly offer are diverse and well crafted.
I'd highly recommend my new favorite pub in Rolla, MO to anyone.

I was pretty impressed with the three beers that I tried at The Public House. The service was friendly and the co owner and brew master Josh Goodridge showed us around and it is a pretty nice joint. It is artistic and rustic at the same time. It reminds me of lounge. The beer is great but if you are looking for food they will tell you that they are all about the beer. The menu is gourmet sausages from Swiss which is awesome within its self and crackers. They are growing and getting better. If they run out of their beer they use more Missouri brews on the guest taps.
