Decent weizen. Pours hazy golden (after swirl) with thick creamy head Carbonation is explosive, keeping sedimentation constantly mixed in the brew. Aroma is sweet bananas and bubblegum. Taste is more of the same with some bread and crackers thrown in. Thick creamy mouthfeel, A good one from Bavaria.

Bought this weissbier just because the price was twice than others. Thus I was expeting much from this beer, and the only one review I found on BA was encouraging. So it was very disappointing, just after the first sip, when, throught a big but anything else than thick foam, what came to my palate was something like a flavoured water. Wich flavour? I don't know, but I don't like it at all. A good example of pay more, take less.

Many thanks to my Uncle who brought this previously unknown gem back from Bavaria.

Deep and rich yellow-almost-orange in colour. Huge rocky head sits firmly on top with a more than respectable lace along the sides of the Weissbier glass throughout. Aromas of spicy clove and banana with doughy, biscuity esthers whafting endlessly. Smooth on the palate, yet very clean and balanced. Finishes clean as well with no lingering bitterness, but you know you have consumed a good one.

Perhaps one of the finest Weissbiers I have ever had from Bavaria. It is not Hofbrauhaus Traunstein or Straubinger Weisse, but still really damn good.

Zum wohl!
