From the bottle, it pours a hazy dark amber/light brown color with a modest head that quickly diminishes to a thin layer. In the nose, it is whiskey-like and smoky with maybe some banana. In the mouth, it is peaty and smoky over a bready flavor. Nice and different!

L:
-pours a cloudy copper-brown with a small,foamy,sand-coloured head
-medium to high carbonation visible
S:
-peat smoke,leaf-y,banana,nutty,chocolate
T:
-follows the nose + an acidic berry note
F:
-medium carbonation
-light body
O:
The peated malt was used moderately. The smoke accents the Beer instead of completely overtaking it.
A really nice Dunkelweizen.Only the mothfeel is a little light.

Got this from rvdoorn and papaeugene as a thank you for being their hero.
From a bottle into a weizen glass
APPEARANCE: Foams out a bit upon opening. Pours a huge, massive, out-of-control, fluffy white head with excellent retention. Cloudy gamboge orange with medium carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a thick foam cap and clings to the top of the glass a little. A decent wisp remains and leaves some nice lacing down the glass.
SMELL: Medium strength nose of wheat malt, bread and some nice fruity esters. Lemon and banana mostly. A good dose of clove as well.
TASTE: Wheat malt and bready notes move into an estery middle, with lemon, banana, and some nice clove spices as well. A touch of smoked malt at the swallow, leading into a bolder aftertaste of wheat malt, clove, and some light whisky and smoked flavors as well. Quite interesting actually, and nothing is too overwhelming.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Nice and creamy on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes quite dry on the palate. Good feel here.
OVERALL: Well, I have to admit, this wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Actually, it was pretty nice. When I read "whisky weisse" on the label, I figured the boys were just unloading a joke beer on me. In the end, this is a well made weizen with a touch of smoked malt and whisky, making it an interesting take on the style. Worth checking out if you get the chance. Thanks gents!

Orange/amber in color with initial thick head that fades fast. Some wooden barrel/whiskey in the aroma (faint), more so in the taste, plus peat. Normal weizen body and mouthfeel, and some lingering smokiness n the palate. A different take on the style.

This beer will remind you a lot of Rauchbier brewed in Bamberg but not as strong in smokiness. It has a flat bronze colored body. A nice light tan head with spotty lace, lots of small streams of tiny bubbles in the body. The aroma is smoky with some clove. The taste is very roasty with banana and spice esters. The body is smooth and somewhat creamy. This is a unique beer that I am glad that I found on accident in the Bahnhof store Wieden

A- Pours a cloudy brown/orange color with a large head, lots of carbonation bubbles
S- Banana, Carmel, a little bit of a metallic smell and only a hint of Whiskey
T- Very similar to the smell. nothing to strong. You start with a light fruity sweetness taste which the banana is in, The malt is all the rest of the flavor. The metallic comes through in that. The finish is all Whiskey flavoring. Very well balanced with no flavor really shining out above another
M- Light in body and even though it looked like a lot only a medium on the carbonation.
D-Very delicious beer that anyone who enjoys Whiskey should try. I think if you drink several of these in a night you may start to not appreciate the flavor though
