Having heard of this beer via facebook, I was anxious to try it at the brewery. I expected a thin beer that was light in body and malt flavor, but heavy on hop flavors. I found the wheat itself to be quite the subtle ingredient, with a reasonable malt backbone.
As for the hop bill, they have used a nice blend of Citra, Simcoe, and Centennial. Juicy & fruity flavors with a not-too-sweet malt flavor to compliment it nicely.
The aroma was clean and crisp, fruity, but not overpowering.
Because I was expecting a thin beer, I was also expecting the alcohol to be up front. I enjoyed that it was there, but complimented the flavors without being over-powering.
Conversation with the staff informed me that the brewmaster was especially proud of his creation. That pride is indeed warranted.
