I tried this on cask at the Anniversary event served cask temp in a snifter
The color is black with practically no head, large bubbles of tan collect. The smell is all coffee- sweet espresso-type aroma with light roasted odor. The feel is a little less full than the regular anniversary with a lot of oily bean presence and slightly dry perhaps more bitterness in the finish.
The taste is just like Hegemony Reserve but with a ton of coffee in the mix -very intense coffee flavor almost like drinking coffee liquor a good thing if you like coffee as much as I do and the base stout is there as it warms with light sweetness from malt, honey and lactose. This was a treat, defiinitely a different take on the orginal with intense coffee flavor!
