A: Dark, almost oxidized orange with very little show of carbonation. The head is flimsy and thin, collapsing to a washy covering in the shaker pint. Clean window dressing.
S: Sweet toasted caramel grains. The hops are earthy and green, very light in context, perhaps noble.
T: The flavor followed the nose, toasty gains, sweet caramel, noble flower hops. Very sweet Vienna malts, toasted orange peel. Clean flavor, a bit dry.
M: Mouthful was a bit syrupy, medium fill, with almost no carbonation detection. Very soft and relaxing on the tongue.
O: Reminds me of my first Sam Adams Boston Lager. Sweet toasty grains, Vienna, easy drinking and sweet. Accessible and nice to style. If you are a fan of Boston Lager chances are you will take to this one.
