Aroma sweet malty, grassy, molasses, brown sugar, faint fruit. Pours a chocolate brown head, taste sweet dark fruit, slight breadiness, cloying Root beer!

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for bringing this back from a trip to South America.
Pours black with ruby highlights on the bottom of the glass. It has a thin, light brown head.
The smell is of sweet fruit, molasses, dried apricot and dried figs.
The taste is of a fruity sweetness. Now, this is not a scharzbier, it's a black malt beverage. Doesn't fit a style - so, not rating it in comparison to schwarzbiers (it would not get as high a rating), but to a beer that is unique and broadly fits into the style. Cola-like. I'm not a fond of cola, but the dried fruitiness gives it a nice additional taste.
Finishes sweet.
Low carbonation that gives it smoothness, but doesn't break up the body enough, resulting in residual syrup-stickiness.
An interesting, "different", brew. Nice as a fruity sweet treat. If I liked fruit-flavored colas more, I would probably find this more drinkable.

I had this beer during my two week stay in Brazil. Bought for a dollar in a small open front store in Cananeia. I was looking forward to trying Brazilian beers and most were hit (Caracu, Xingu, Bohemia) or miss (Kaiser Pilsen, Italipara) but this was just undrinkable.
In all my years I've maybe poured out two beers (mostly due to skunking) but this beer was just unbearably sweet. Imagine you're at a college party and one of your buddies decides its gonna be funny to pour a half cup of sugar into your budweiser. It would stil be more drinkable than Antarctica Maltzebier. Brazilians have a serious sweet tooth and this proves it. This is just not my style.

Thanks to BitterBeerFace for sharing this beer. Bob brought this beer back from his trip to Brazil. It is the most sweet thick sticky syrupy thing I have tasted in a long time. The majority of the club found it cloyingly sweet. It is like drinking Malta Goya. It is sweet. I kind of like it. IN A VERY small serving that is. this is hardly a drinkable beer and it is not really a Schwarzbier either. There is now hops and no roasty bitterness. It is one dimensional sweet. period. The best thing is the gorgeous black pour. It looks quite impressive as the dark tan head separates from the pitch black body and the head rises more after the pour into my snifter is finished. Very nice.
Hope this is helpful.
Cheers!

appearance: Pours a low mocha colored head that has decent retention, at least at first. The beer is a deep, dark brown in color.
smell: Aromas of slight roast and artificial berry air fresheners on the nose. Maybe some nutty caramel and toffee. Smells overly sweet, like slushee syrup.
mouthfeel: The carbonation is a light medium, and the body medium...and slick like cough syrup after the swallow.
taste: If my Portugese is up to par, the label indicates that there is artificial caramel flavoring in the beer...and it shows. First are generic flavors of cola and white sugar. Soon follows a big dose of artifical blackberry and blueberry syrups and medicines before the painfully lingering finish of those flavors. No hops evident, save for the light bitterness, but who knows where that came from.
drinkability: pretty undrinkable
single bottle smuggled back from Brasil and split with dirtylou...dated marca registrada 051206. Paid 2 Reais (around 90 cents) for this while visiting Bonito.

appearance: poured into great dane imperial pint glass...looks innocent enough...dark licorice mahogany, khaki head with decent lacing
smell: light malty aroma, doesnt really smell like anything, caramel
taste: well, this is not just awful, its down right offensive and almost causes a gag reflex...its really sweet and tastes like wet cardboard, rust, cafeteria carrots, and over 100 different varieties of artificial flavouring. well done!
mouthfeel: syrupy, medium body, disgusting lingering after taste
drinkability: theres absolutely no way i can finish half a 12oz bottle, 2 sips and done

This beer is way too sweet for my taste. Lots of caramel.
It pours a brown color, with a fairly faint head, that goes away very quickly. Smell is very sweet, and so is the taste. Mouthfeel is sort of watery.
I'm not a big fan of it, and I wouldn't recommend it, unless you like very seet stuff, with not much of a "real" taste.

poured a very dark brown almost black, good head, off white in color.
the aroma was malty with a suttle noble hop aroma.
the flavor was malty, but the sweetness was over powering, some hop flavor, chocolate.
the mouthfeel was weird because it was a little watery for how sweet it was.
i gave such a low drinkability score because of the sweetness and it made it off style and not that good imo.
my bottle said the ABV was 3.77%

Pours a thin deep brown color with virtually no head. A very faint aroma of some sweet malts. was present. Taste is fairly sweet but also very thin. This is a pretty one dimensional beer in my opinion and it seems to be at every restaurant in Brazil. Decent if you're in the mood for something sweet though.
