On draught. A mahogany colored pour with high clarity, a decent head and lacing initially.
This beer has a pronounced toasted/roasted malt flavor that is very enjoyable, a little nutty.
The hops selection and bitterness were done well, and the carbonation and ABV are enjoyable.
A well crafted Dopplebock.

On tap (taster):
A “thin” brown body that is stained glass cola colored. Head is creamy and spreads from thick edges to a sheen that gets disturbed by replenishing bubbles from the depths (as much as a taster glass has depth).
Nose is brown sugar and non-cinnamon fall spice. There’s a hint of minerals and some raisin pretending to be date. Taste is a bit more brown bread, but brings flavors that are closely related to the aromas. Medium bodied feeling lighter, especially for the 8%+ ABV the beer holds. Very lightly sweet, but deftly balanced overall.

Pour had a quickly receding head of very light tan-white foam over a clear, richly colored burnt umber body with notably effervescence present. Scent is burnt malt and dried, darker fruits. Taste leans more into the darker fruits but the burnt malt lends a toasty counterbalance to the sweeter fruit profile. Feel is smooth, creamy and has notable hints of the 8.2% ABV present. Overall an enjoyable winter offering.

From the pint can, it pours a clear dark amber/brown color with a nice light tan head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets caramel and roasted malts. The mouth gets the same: a nice roasted malt flavor with caramel notes.

pours nice foamy head. Beer itself is a cloudy brownish copper. Smell has some good mix of roast and sweet caramel with a bit of hop floral hop bitterness. Very bready note dominates. Taste is strong malt profile in the form of a mix of caramel with a little roast. Less bready than the smell. Feel is medium but with heft to it. Tingling carbonation and a lightly thick feel to it. Overall, pretty good and drinkable on a cold day.
