If you want to feel tipsy from one beer, this is it. I'm not too familiar with the barleywine style but it tastes like several imperial beers I've had that were up around 10% with less of a hops taste. I'll try it again some time.

The beer pours a nice white head that dissipates very quickly. The beer itself is a clear golden amber with a red hue.
The smell is good. It's a heavily pine hop note that is fairly balanced with a sweet caramel note.
The taste is pretty good. It has a strong bitter pine hop note up front with a slight caramel note underneath it in the finish. The hop note is fairly overwhelming though.
The feel is good. It has a medium body and smooth texture with a biting carbonation to it.
Overall, this a pretty good American Barleywine despite it leaning more towards the hoppier side.
