Brady's is a gem and a well-kept secret. It's a really fun bar with great food and live music. You walk in and forget you're in a small Wisconsin town. It rivals many of my favorite pubs in the Twin Cities. I'd say it's biggest strength is the huge selection of beers and a hearty custom sampler option. If you're in the east metro or western WI and are looking for a place worth going out of your way for, check out Brady's.

I'm from out of town and really enjoyed the place. I wish I lived closer. I felt like I was Guy Fieri on the TV show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. I ordered the Silly Burger and the house crafted IPA. They both were top notch. Totally out of bounds. The burger was cooked perfectly and the frech fries had just the right amount of seasoning. Neither one overpowered the other.

The beer. Ohh the beer. The Brewmaster just happened to be there eating supper and came over. He was polite enough to spend time talking with us and answered all our questions. You can tell he brews his beer with love and respect.
Try it. The Wheat may change your opinion but the IPA will change your Religion.
Thanks everyone. Especially the guys in food prep.

I have visited twice in the past six months, and I do follow their Fb and blog. Things seem to be settling down, with the beer and service being more consistent and available as they mature.

The atmosphere is pretty typical of a new restaurant, with quite a spendy remodel in an old space. Lots of dark wood, an open kitchen, large bar, lots of copper and flat screens, and fancy blown glass hanging lights. There is a family friendly restaurant area to the left of the entrance, the long bar and adjacent open kitchen in the center, and about 12 four-tops in the spacious back area overlooking the glassed-in brewery.

Service was solid both times we dined, parties of 3 and 6 were promptly seated despite a busy crowd. Drinks and food were very timely, servers very courteous and knowledgable.

Food selection was average, but solid. Standard "new" pub fare, including stuffed burgers, flatbreads and salads. Food was excellent all around, well done for somewhat straightforward grub.

Beer selection was a mixed bag - 42 draft lines is great, but I feel they have a lot of wasted space. There are too many fruity and wheat beers, and also a lot of domestics. They had 8 house brews on tap for the second visit, and I tried all of them. They keep a solid Bell's offering on at all times (double cream stout this time), along with a couple Three Floyds (Gumballhead and Alpha King)and several other WI brews (Rush River, Central Waters).

Of the 8 house brews, all were acceptable. The two best examples were the weekly special double berry stout (really excellent brew), and their hopquake pale ale. The steam beer was forgettable, and the sunny wheat was a bit oversweet and unbalanced. Everything else was middle of the road, but fun to try and worth a second.

They offer a sampler of (8) 5oz. pours for $12, which everyone in both parties found to be a nice deal. This allowed us to try all the house brews, plus most of the good craft options for only $24.

Overall, Brady's is by far the best dining and drinking option in New Richmond, WI. I would put it in the top 3 for western WI, and perhaps rank it higher if they were able to pull off some bigger, bolder brews.

Highly recommend if you are in the area!

Feb 2013 Update: I stopped in here with my dad a week ago and we were both blown away by the prices. Our bill came to $28 for four beers before a tip. This included a $7 pour of Hopslam, which I understand. However, $9 for a 23 ounce pour of Furthermore's Fatty Bombalotty is ridiculous. This was also during "Happy Hour". Additionally, the place has devoted more of their taps for their overpriced and completely unproven in-house brews. Of the few I have had, they have been very middle of the road with a couple having carbonation issues. They still have a good selection of craft beers, but beware of the sticker shock. There is no beer menu, or anything that states the price. Short of asking the bartender the price for each beer your bill after a couple rounds could be all over the board.

The food that I have had has been the highlight of the place, but I won't be back based on the prices of their beer alone.

Brady's Brewhouse, odd name because they seem to have a breweryion the back but they have do not have any house brews on tap.

However, they do have about 40 tappers. Half of which are solid beers. They had, to name a few; 5 Bells taps, three floyds, central waters, dogfish head, and a couple new glarus.

Prices are great, Had two pints of Hopslam for 10 bucks, which was beyond reasonable.

Foods good, I'm a vegetarian so not a huge selection for me. They have homemade bean burgers, and good pizza.

No complaints, check it out!
